Leadership in school

why starting early matters

Did you know that by the time a child reaches the age of 7, stereotypes about their gender, ethnicity and class begin to form? These beliefs can shape the way they view their education, future and place in society. If these stereotypes are negative and go unchallenged, they can stop them from reaching their full academic, career and leadership potential.

Research shows that the development of leadership skills and habits in students of school age has the power to transform limiting perceptions while improving behaviour for learning, students’ confidence, resilience, peer relationships, and communication and team-building skills. These skills empower students to lead and take charge of their academic achievement, personal progress and future career goals.

We place Inspiring Leaders into classrooms across the UK to dispel leadership stereotypes and equip students with the knowledge, skills and networks needed to reach their full potential.

Primary Schools

We introduce primary school students to diverse leaders from different professions who will teach them about the importance of leading themselves effectively by developing their leadership values and character traits.

Secondary Schools

We prepare every student for academic and career success by providing them with meaningful encounters with diverse leaders, who link the curriculum to their profession and develop leadership skills and character at the same time.

Post 16

We work with sixth forms and colleges to ensure their students leave equipped with up-to-date knowledge of the labour market and pathways, leadership and employability skills and networks needed to thrive in the global marketplace.

We will produce an impact report at the end of the subscription year to showcase impact, development and achievement. The report is perfect for sharing with parents, teachers and school governors.

Additional Services

Our additional services include bespoke leadership programmes that we design, deliver and evaluate.

We place our network of Inspiring Leaders into the classroom to teach a lesson with a twist. Imagine being taught Maths by a Senior Financial Advisor or ICT by a leading software developer. Bringing the curriculum to life is a lesson pupils will never forget.

The Tomorrow’s Leaders Programme (TLP) is a six-week leadership programme specifically designed to develop the next generation of leaders from underrepresented groups. The programme includes leadership teaching, real life leadership challenges; a Russell Group university-led session; an off-site trip to a city organisation; and an end of programme presentation to peers, parents, teachers and inspiring leaders.

Leadership Enrichment Activity Day (L.E.A.D) is a fun way to introduce a whole year group to the concept of leadership, character education or careers through themed activities that complement the Citizenship, PHSE, Character, Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) curriculum.

65% of children entering primary school will end up in jobs or careers that do not yet exist. With a rapidly changing job market it is not enough to educate, inform and inspire the pupils, parents must be involved to. Our Parent Awareness Evenings are a great way for parents to meet industry experts and empower them to effectively support their child’s future.
