Leadership in school
why starting early matters
Did you know that by the time a child reaches the age of 7, stereotypes about their gender, ethnicity and class begin to form? These beliefs can shape the way they view their education, future and place in society. If these stereotypes are negative and go unchallenged, they can stop them from reaching their full academic, career and leadership potential.
Research shows that the development of leadership skills and habits in students of school age has the power to transform limiting perceptions while improving behaviour for learning, students’ confidence, resilience, peer relationships, and communication and team-building skills. These skills empower students to lead and take charge of their academic achievement, personal progress and future career goals.
We place Inspiring Leaders into classrooms across the UK to dispel leadership stereotypes and equip students with the knowledge, skills and networks needed to reach their full potential.

Primary Schools
We introduce primary school students to diverse leaders from different professions who will teach them about the importance of leading themselves effectively by developing their leadership values and character traits.

Secondary Schools
We prepare every student for academic and career success by providing them with meaningful encounters with diverse leaders, who link the curriculum to their profession and develop leadership skills and character at the same time.

Post 16
We work with sixth forms and colleges to ensure their students leave equipped with up-to-date knowledge of the labour market and pathways, leadership and employability skills and networks needed to thrive in the global marketplace.

65% of children entering primary school will end up in jobs or careers that do not yet exist. TESTIMONIALS
WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT OUR WORK
The Tomorrow’s Leaders Programme has hugely developed our students. They have been inspired and thought about themselves in ways they had not considered before. In turn I have been inspired by them - truly great to see.
The programme has helped me to think about my future in a way that I hadn’t thought about it before. The leadership tasks really helped me to understand how the workplace works.
We are very pleased with Diverse Leaders Network. It’s been a great opportunity for our students to learn leadership skills and apply them in their lives. Leadership Education should be part of the curriculum. It is as important as Science, Maths and English.
A fantastic programme that was well organised. Very beautifully managed. The students were well trained and proved everybody can be a leader if given the skills.
This is something I think every student needs. These leadership sessions are CORE to everything. They are the foundation of what we do and who we become. It helps individuals to make course directions and proactive decisions, which change their lives for the better whilst they are in a stage of life which is most effective to do so.
